Sunday August 10 at 5:30pm, I’m back at The Healing Loft with Kendall for restorative yoga and sound healing. We had to make some scheduling shifts the last few months, but want to stay committed to the idea of gathering in service. Our last event in support of the Samaritan House was cancelled, and we want another opportunity to highlight their work. We’ve missed you, please come rest, reset, and release with us— 25% of proceeds will be donated to Samaritan House on behalf of the class.
Samaritan House serves approximately 110 people nightly, 65% of them are children.
DV related calls have seen a significant spike since the COVID pandemic
In the past year, 843 victims (women and children) received 11,000 shelter nights through local programs.
In 2024 Samaritan House opened the first live in shelter in Hampton Roads dedicated to trafficked minors, serving up to 8 youth at a time.
